Manhattan Corporation (MHC) will recommence drilling at its Tibooburra Gold Project in New South Wales.

The reverse circulation (RC) drilling program will include an initial 5000 metres and will focus on the New Bendigo Main Zone to target the higher grade controls along the entire strike extent which spans over 650 metres.

A 10,300-metre drilling program completed in the area a few months back returned positive gold results. These include 12 metres at 2.78 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from surface including four metres at 7.63g/t gold and 30 metres at 4.03g/t gold from 11 metres, including five metres at 20.86g/t gold from 11 metres.

Upon receiving these results in July, the company flagged its plans to undertake 5000 metres of follow-up drilling.

Overall, Manhattan hopes drilling at the main zone will assist with establishing an initial mineral resource estimate.

Drilling will also target the Western Lode where previous RC drilling returned seven metres at 18.16g/t gold from 87 metres.

The company expects to begin this program in early October.

Company shares were up 7.14 per cent to trade at 1.5 cents at 12:47 pm AEST.
