Drilling at Torian Resources (TNR) Mt Stirling project in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia has extended the gold system by 280 metres.

A total of 18 reverse circulation drill holes were completed with results reportedly increasing the extents of gold mineralisation at various prospects and multiple gold domains, with pierce point intercepts beyond the current resource boundaries.

The interpreted mineralised strike of the Mt Stirling Gold System is now 1040 metres.

Additionally, the company highlighted shallow gold intercepts including four metres at 2.33 grams gold per tonne (g/t) from surface and two metres at 1.72 g/t from 29 metres, including one metre at 2.18 g/t from 30 metres.

Torian believes the continuous discovery of gold beyond the Mt Stirling resource boundary provides confirmation of the potential of the project.

The drilling program across the project is progressing, with the company undertaking extension reverse circulation drilling at the Viserion and Eastern zone.

Drilling is also underway at the Hydra prospect where 12 drill holes are planned to test anomalous arsenic zones and extents of the gold system to the north-west.

The company has also completed a drilling campaign at Diorite where it said an encouraging mineralised zone has been identified from Kiaora-Meteor workings and Diorite East. Assays are expected in the coming weeks.

Shares were trading 3.33 per cent lower at 2.9 cents each at 2:02 pm AEST.
