Kin Mining (KIN) has received significant new assay results from the Iron King West and Axford prospects in Western Australia.

Results come from Kin’s recently completed follow-up aircore drilling program that tested two two-kilometre long multi-element soil geochemical anomalies.

Axford

The Axford Prospect lies roughly one kilometre north of the historically mined Iron King open pit.

Previous aircore drilling undertaken in August 2020 targeted extensions to historical workings referred to as the Crystal Ridge Prospect and intersected up to 2.08 grams of gold per tonne (g/t).

Since then, Kin has drilled 4437 metres to target strike extensions of the existing mineralisation and parallel zones of mineralisation identified in this previous drilling.

New results from Axford include four metres at 1.05g/t gold from 12 metres, four metres at 1.01g/t gold from 12 metres and two metres 0.96g/t gold from 44 metres.

Iron King West

Aircore drilling was also undertaken at the Iron King West prospect with historical drilling intersecting up to 27.5g/t gold.

The majority of previous drilling was very shallow with multiple holes reaching a depth of less than five metres due to fresh material at surface.

Kin has completed 1609 metres of aircore drilling to test the strike extensions of the existing mineralisation and parallel zones of mineralisation highlighted in the 2020 soil geochemical program.

New results include four metres at 2.93g/t gold from zero metres, four metres at 1.18g/t gold from 20 metres and four metres at 1.18g/t gold from eight metres.

The results confirm the continuity of the mineralisation over an 800-metre strike at Axford and a 500-metre strike at Iron King.

Managing Director Andrew Munckton commented on the drilling program.

“An initial program of broad-spaced aircore drilling delivered encouraging results from the Axford target at Iron King in late 2020,” Mr Munckton said.

“The follow-up program has now confirmed and extended the Axford mineralisation to 800 metres of strike length when drilled at 100 metres and 200-metre line spacing.”

“At the Iron King West line of mineralisation, aircore drilling has confirmed the mineralisation over 500 metres of strike centred on the historically mined Iron King Open Pit.”

Initial broad-spaced reverse circulation drilling at Axford and along strike of the Iron King open pit mine is expected to begin in the December quarter.

Kin was up four per cent on the market with shares trading at 13 cents at 2:18 pm AEDT.
