Predictive Discovery (PDI) has identified new gold prospects at the Bankan Gold Project in Guinea.
The company received new assays from 49 shallow aircore holes completed within five kilometres of the main NE Bankan deposit and Argo permit.
Results include 12 metres at 1.5 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold from 12 metres, including 4 metres at 3.3 g/t gold from 16 metres.
An upgraded re-assay also returned 28 metres at 12.8 g/t gold from 22 metres, including 6 metres at 52g/t gold.
“These new results provide more confirmation of the extent of gold mineralised locations in the area surrounding NE Bankan and Bankan Creek, reinforcing our strong belief that additional resource ounces will be defined in close proximity to both ore deposits as we follow up with infill and extension drilling on new gold prospects as they emerge from the Aircore reconnaissance drill program,” Managing Director Paul Roberts said.
The company said it will continue diamond drilling at NE Bankan, using two multi-purpose drill rigs. The rigs are currently drilling holes at depths between 500 and 550 metres below surface, exploring for extensions to the high-grade gold zone.
More than 90 per cent of the Bankan Project remains untested by any drilling.
Regional exploration is ongoing with aircore drilling across the company’s 356-square-kilometre Bankan Project area, with power auger drilling set to resume once the dry season begins in November.
