Oar Resources (OAR) has started drilling at its Douglas Canyon Gold-Silver Project, located in the Walker Lane Gold-Silver district of southern Nevada, USA.

The drilling program will include four diamond drill holes for a total of 1000 metres, testing the outcropping high-grade gold and silver mineralisation.

Previous reported outcrop samples include 18 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 398 g/t silver, as well as 16.2 g/t gold 495 g/t silver.

Oar is planning to drill an initial two holes, with the additional two holes to be positioned based on the observations from logging of the first two holes.

The drilling program is expected to be completed this month and results will be released as they become available.

“This first phase of drilling will be a diamond drilling program comprising four holes
for approximately 1000 metres, targeting stand-out targets within the project area,” Oar’s General Manager of Geology, Tony Greenaway, said.

“Based on the exceptional high-grade results delivered in our outcrop sampling program, and the project’s location in the prolific Walker Lane district of Nevada, we see the Douglas Canyon Project as an exciting gold exploration opportunity, and we are excited by the potential of the program to deliver some strong gold intersections.”

Oar Resources is up 4.17 per cent to 1.3 cents per share at 1:30 pm AEDT.
