Alto Metals (AME) has received additional results from reverse circulation and diamond drilling at two prospects within the Sandstone gold project in Western Australia.

The extensional and step-out drilling program was completed across the Vanguard and Indomitable Camps, located west of the Lords Corridor where the company recently discovered a new gold zone.

According to the company, the latest results from the Vanguard Camp confirm mineralisation within two parallel trends along a strike length of two kilometres containing grades of gold in excess of 10 grams per tonne (g/t).

Of the results, Alto noted 30 metres at 3 g/t gold from 87 metres — including one metre at 18.3 g/t gold from 107.2 metres — as significant. Additionally, at the Vanguard North prospect, drilling returned two metres at 20.8 g/t, as well as one metre at 27.3 g/t from 69 metres.

Alto said the recent drilling has more clearly defined the mineralisation at both the Vanguard and Vanguard North trends, with extensions along strike and down dip.

The company also completed one metre re-splits of previously reported composites from reverse circulation drilling.

The final assay result returned up to 147.2 g/t gold, a standout result according to Managing Director Matthew Bowles, who said the result “highlights the exceptional grade that can be found within the quartz-rich laminated shear veins in the area.”

Assays are pending for 80 reverse circulation holes which the company expects to receive in the coming weeks.

Once received, the final assays for Vanguard are set to be included in the ongoing work for an updated mineral resource, anticipated to be completed by the end of this quarter.

Moving forward, the Lords Corridor, Vanguard and Indomitable areas remain a focus for Alto, however plans are progressing to begin work on other regional targets within the project.

Shares in Alto Metals were down 1 per cent to 9.9 cents at the close of trading on Thursday.
