Ballymore Resources (BMR) has hit further near-surface copper intersections at its Ruddygore project near Chillagoe in North Queensland.

The company has received results for the remainder of the holes from its stage one drilling program, highlighting additional shallow copper intersections.

Results from the drilling included 19 metres at 0.41 per cent copper and 12.5 grams per tonne (g/t) silver from one metre deep and three metres at 0.81 per cent copper and 18.8 g/t silver, also from one metre.

The company said these results, along with historical mining assays, highlighted the potential for a shallow copper deposit north of the mine.

Additionally, the company has received assays from diamond tail drilling, reporting a deeper intersection of 12 metres at 0.30 per cent copper and four g/t silver from 192 metres, including three metres at 0.92 per cent copper and eight g/t silver from 199 metres.

Ballymore said this demonstrated the potential for a down-plunge extension to shallow mineralisation.

The company is now planning follow-up drilling to test shallow copper mineralisation surrounding the Ruddygore mine, as well as other priority targets in the area

Ballymore Resources was trading grey at 20 cents per share at 10:59 am AEST.
