Haranga Resources (ASX:HAR) has confirmed broad, shallow, and high-grade gold mineralisation across multiple drillholes at its Ibel South Gold Project in southeastern Senegal after maiden Aircore drilling the company is declaring has “exceeded expectations” set before the campaign.

The 2,000-metre campaign, completed in July, ran across 41 drillholes that cover four northwest-to-southeast lines and targeted termite mound anomalies.

The program’s results came in this week, confirming significant gold zones near surface that the company now believes extend over 700m laterally.

Geological logging identified four to eight metres of laterite overlying up to 50 metres of saprolite, underlain by silicified greywacke units containing quartz veining and visible sulphides. These host lithologies are consistent with mineralised zones in the region’s gold-bearing formations, Haranga explained.

The samples were composited at four-metre intervals and assayed by SGS Labs. Standouts included 20 metres at 6.54 grams per tonne gold from 12 metres (hole 25-IBS-AC-008), including four metres at 14.64 g/t, and 10m at 6.35 g/t gold from 44m (hole 25-IBS-AC-016), which ended in mineralisation.

Additional results include four metres at 14.83 g/t from eight metres (25-IBS-AC-017) and four metres at 4.92 g/t from four metres (25-IBS-AC-007).

All up, results from the maiden campaign “exceeded the company’s expectations.”

“We are very pleased with these results,” said managing director Peter Batten this morning.

Haranga expects to resume field operations at Ibel South by Q4 2025. The company can’t do much before that, considering it’s now Senegal’s wet season.

Before that, though, the company’s turning its focus to the Lincoln Gold Project in California, which has been permitted for mining and contains a historical NI 43-101 resource of 286,000 ounces at 9.3 g/t gold.

Over in the States, Haranga is aiming to have a maiden JORC Resource put together before Lincoln’s underground diamond drilling starts this year.

HAR has been up +16.2% today on these hits; the stock’s up +170% YTD.
