Belararox (ASX: BRX) has acquired the strategic El Faro tenement within the company’s Toro-Malambo- Tambo (TMT) project in Argentina.

The company is currently drilling at Toro South at TMT targeting a shallow epithermal system overlying a potential copper porphyry.

The El Faro tenement adds 22 sq. km of highly prospective ground to the TMT landholding and sits adjacent to the Toro South target, a large 1.5km by 1.0km surface area sampled with anomalous copper, gold and silver hosted within outcropping dacitic rocks.

The tenement is also just 20km southeast of Atex Resources’ Valeriano copper-gold deposit, which hosts a multi-billion tonne copper-gold mineral resource, along the same regional structural corridor.

Executive director, Chris Gale, saids the acquisition of the El Faro tenement strengthens Belarox’s position in a minerals rich area.

“With drilling currently underway, securing additional ground along this structural corridor ensures we maintain control of what we believe could be a highly prospective mineralised system within the Vicuña District.”

The El Faro tenement is being acquired from a local private landowner for US$150,000 being made over three staged payments.

Located in the Valle del Cura region within the San Juan province in Argentina, TMT is an extensive 32,000 hectares project with potential for large scale base metal mineralisation and untested porphyry targets.

The acquisition of the new acreage comes just over a week after Belarox announced the appointment of Will Dix as CEO effective 1 April 2026.

Mr Dix brings more than 25 years of exploration and mining experience in base metal, precious metal and uranium exploration and mining including being a key member of the LionOre exploration team that delivered the multi-million ounce Thunderbox gold project and Waterloo nickel discovery.

He has extensive expertise in project and team management, along with significant experience in capital raisings, mergers, acquisitions and divestments.

He is currently a non-executive director of Breakthrough Minerals (ASX:BTM), Stelar Metals (ASX:SLB) and has recently held the position of MD of Xenora Minerals.

BRX is steady at 9.9¢. Mkt cap $26.00M.
