- First drill results deliver outstanding, high-grade gold results
- Mineralisation consistent with many large gold systems in the Eastern Goldfields
- Strong continuity of mineralisation between fence lines demonstrates potential scale
- 6,300m of drilling remaining at Terra and the Caliburn prospects
Pilbara Gold (ASX: PGL) has obtained significant initial results from its 2026 drilling program at the Roe Hills gold project, in WA’s Goldfields region.
Drilling at the Terra and Caliburn prospects, situated three km apart, aims to define mineralisation between very wide-spaced historic drill fences 250m apart that was completed by the company in 2017-2018.
“These are tremendous initial results to begin our campaign at Roe Hills. We expect the project to develop in terms of scale as we drill more of the bedrock gold corridor,” MD, Dr Peter Turner, said.
“PGL understands the value-proposition of gold resources close to processing mills in the Kalgoorlie area and subject to continued positive drill results at Roe Hills, the company will accelerate and expand its drilling program at Roe Hills whilst continuing resource-growth drilling at Mt York, targeting completion of its PFS by mid-2027.”
Gold mineralisation occurs over at least 1,500m in bedrock and is open to the north and south where PGL plans to extend past, and drill in between the historic drilling.
Dr Turner said the continuity of gold mineralisation remains robust and these exploration results continue to demonstrate that mineralisation occurs within a linear corridor, probably associated with a significant shear zone.
RC drilling is ongoing, with approximately 5000m drilling completed to date, with a further 3000m drilling expected at Terra before the rig moves to Caliburn, a prospect three km south of Terra that has impressive historic results including 22m at 1.55 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 144m, including 10m at 2.77 g/t gold from 144m.
Roe Hill lies 100km east of Kalgoorlie and is 50km east of Vault Mineral’s (ASX:VAU) Mt Monger gold operations, specifically the Randalls Processing Plant.
PGL was up 1.89% to 54.0¢. Mkt cap $124.0M.
