Artemis Resources (ARV) has hit high-grade intersections from drilling at its Carlow Castle gold and copper project in Western Australia

The company intersected high-grade shoots in five diamond holes in the eastern zone of Carlow Castle while testing the continuity of mineralisation down dip and between sections.

Best results include seven metres at 4.7 grams of gold per tonne (g/t), 1.58 per cent copper, 0.3 per cent cobalt from 163 metres to 170 metres.

An additional two diamond holes were drilled in the Crosscut Zone. One was drilled to match a previous reverse circulation core, while the other was designed to confirm the structural orientation of mineralisation.

Of these two holes, the best result was five metres at 1.32g/t gold, 1.86 per cent copper, 0.16 per cent cobalt from 136 meters to 141 metres.

Executive Director of Artemis Resources, Alastair Clayton, said the drilling helped to confirm structure and grades at the Eastern Zone.

“Importantly the results from the diamond drilling at Crosscut confirm that mineralisation actually strikes to the northwest and dips to southwest,” Mr Clayton said.

“This information has already been used to design the current reverse circulation drill program, much of which is targeting the emerging mineralised trend at the Crosscut Zone.”

Artemis Resources last traded at 6.3 cents on August 19.
