  • Auravelle to include fresh information from new magnetic survey in next drilling at Nuckulla Hill project in South Australia.
  • Results significantly improve both geological interpretation, gold targeting.
  • Focus on 40km strike of highly prospective Yarlbrinda Shear.

Auravelle Metals (ASX:AUV) now intends to include fresh information from a new magnetic survey in its next round of drilling at the Nuckulla Hill project in South Australia. The company has identified a range of new gold targets in its early assessment of the data provided by the magnetic survey of the project, which is located near Barton Gold’s (ASX:BGD) large Tunkillia gold deposit.

Auravelle is planning to undertake infill and extensional RC drilling at Sheoak and prospects at Nuckulla Hill, as well as discovery-focused aircore drilling.

“The interpretation and review is underway on the new magnetic data, with the greater detail already giving significant new insights into existing targets, as well as highlighting new prospective areas for gold,” MD Andrew Muir said.

“The new data builds on targets generated from Auravelle’s recent structural geological review and soil sampling, significantly enhancing our understanding of key gold mineralisation controls and areas to prioritise.

“The next rounds of drilling, including infill and extensional RC at Sheoak, as well as a regional gold discovery aircore program, will incorporate the new magnetic survey information and will significantly improve our targeting.”

The new data is being integrated with Auravelle’s drilling info to optimise drill hole locations and prioritise high-confidence targets, with the drill program commencement to be scheduled on completion of final targeting work.

Earlier this month, Auravelle expanded its Crown gold project near Kalgoorlie through the addition of nine tenements covering an area of 20 square kilometres.

Both existing and new tenements at Crown contain similar geology and structures associated with Black Cat Syndicate’s (ASX:BC8) nearby 500K-plus-ounce Majestic gold mining centre, part of the 1.29Moz Kal East gold project.

Auravelle is also compiling all relevant datasets and will include the new tenements in the expanded Crown project scheduled workflow, including soil sampling and drilling.

AUV will open at 1.6¢. Mkt cap $8.499M.
