Infill and extensional reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Fingals Fortune deposit began in July 2021 with 55 holes, for 7827 metres, drilled.
This drilling was designed to infill the southern portion of Fingals Fortune and allow resource upgrades to begin ahead of ore reserve estimation.
Results have been received for an additional 16 holes with a best intersection of two metres at 16.75 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from 118 metres.
Other results include two metres at 9.79g/t gold from 100 metres, two metres at 6.53g/t gold from 81 metres at one metre at 6.49g/t gold from 68 metres.
Managing Director Gareth Solly commented on the drilling program.
“Recent improvements in assay turn-around times are providing an influx of promising results,” Mr Solly said.
“Additionally, the rigs are now back exploring for discoveries across Kal East. Resource upgrades will be announced during the December 2021 quarter.”
Black Cat has drilled around 77,000 metres so far in 2021 and plans to drill a further 20,000 metres before the end of the year.
