Caeneus Minerals (CAD) has further progressed drilling at the Roberts Hill Project in Western Australia.

A couple of weeks ago, the company had drilled 76 holes, for over 5000 metres, as part of its maiden drilling program that’s targeting six zones.

Now, Caeneus has completed drilling at zones B, C and D. This location, which covers over 15 square kilometres, is the company’s closest drilling to De Grey Mining’s (DEG) Hemi discovery.

Drilling at these zones focussed on the potential north-northwest-trending structural corridor which is more than five kilometres wide, as well as a north-south-trending potentially intrusive feature to the west.

While it continues with drilling, Caeneus is conducting detailed geological logging of the aircore samples. It expects logging will take longer than usual due to the nature of the lithologies intersected.

Positively, the company has already confirmed intersecting 28 metres of coarse-sized mixed sulphides in one hole drilled at Zone C. From 85 metres to the end of hole (113 metres) CAD observed abundant pyrite, pyrrhotite and traces of a silvery sulphide.

Caeneus will provide another update on the progress of drilling at zones E and F in due course.

With nearly, 10,000 metres drilled, Caeneus Minerals has completed half of the program.

Company shares were up 6.67 per cent to trade at 1.6 cents at 10:49 am AEST.
