Delecta (DLC) has completed a drone survey at its REX Uranium Project in Montrose County, Colorado.
The project consists of 256 continuous BLM claims covering an area of 2072 hectares.
Uranium mineralisation has been confirmed within four historical uranium mines which have not been subject to modern exploration.
The drone survey was undertaken to deliver coverage of the project area including old mines, adits, air shafts, waste dumps, prospecting pits and outcropped uranium-vanadium mineralisation.
Additionally, Delecta has purchased a large pack of locally sourced historical data which confirms significant historical uranium production.
Delecta is now undertaking a comprehensive review of both historical and new survey data to identify new exploration targets.
The mapping, sampling and survey activities were the first modern exploration completed at REX.
Delecta will also assess the potential for core drilling to target near-surface historical mine shafts and workings.
Drilling programs are being developed for the first half of 2022.
Shares in Delecta were down 6.67 per cent and are trading at 1.4 cents at 1:41 pm AEDT.
