Duketon Mining (ASX:DKM) is preparing to test six highly rated gold in soil targets with a maiden aircore and RC drill program at the Barlee project in Western Australia.

Drilling of the anomalies at Barlee will commence early next week, with a rig mobilising to the project site 200 kilometres north of Southern Cross.

Managing director Stuart Fogarty said drilling at Barlee is an exciting exploration opportunity. “We have undertaken considerable work in consolidating the Barlee package and generating foundational geological datasets to identify multiple high-quality targets which have never been drilled previously.”

Duketon’s MD continued: “These targets are of significant scale and amplitude, which makes this drill program even more compelling.”

Drilling at Barlee follows a detailed aeromagnetic survey flown over a key area of Barlee and a project review, including structural interpretation and targeting.

Drilling will include ~4,000 metres of aircore and 1,500 metres of RC to test the six prospects identified by geochemical sampling in CY25.

The prospects are:

• Astro – an 1,800m (before going undercover) by 800m anomaly with maximum gold of 204 parts per billion (ppb);

• Scooby – a 900m by 450m anomaly with maximum gold of 57 ppb;

• Tiger – a 1,200m by 700m anomaly with maximum gold of 230 ppb;

• Gromit – a 1,000m by 450m anomaly with a maximum gold of 235 ppb, the highest gold value of the program;

• Odie – a 350m by 250m anomaly with a maximum gold of 37ppb; and

• Lost Bolt – a 1,700m by 1,000m anomaly with maximum gold of 211ppb.

Earlier this month, Duketon kicked off an inaugural RC drill program at the Boodanoo gold project located around 80km north-east of Paynes Find and approximately 40km east of the Kirkalocka gold project in WA. That program was designed to consist of approximately 1,000m of drilling in up to 20 holes.

DKN will open Thursday trading at 11cps.
