Four companies are set to list on the ASX this month – who are they, and what do they do?

You may have heard news that Australian AI (hopeful) giant Firmus is set to list on the ASX this month – a move which is currently in question following reports the company can’t find enough capital to raise its ideal target of $11/sh.

But on the smaller end of town, we’ve got four companies set to launch this month according to the ASX’s upcoming floats webpage. Let’s take a look at what each company is bringing to the table.

13 October: Identifai Genetics

Raising $10M from 50M shares and listing at 20cps, Identifai Genetics is an Israeli-Australian company seeking to develop a prenatal screening platform called Windrose.

Kicking in at week 9 of pregnancy, “Windrose will transform prenatal screning with a single maternal blood draw, predicting fetal genetic variants” according to the company’s website.

Windrose reportedly uses “statistical models and AI” to assess DNA samples and is a non-invasive procedure.

“The unmet clinical need is significant,” Identifai’s prospectus reads, “the World Health Organisation estimates that approximately 6% of
babies worldwide are born with a congenital disorder.”

14 October: Glencore Plc

Glencore is “listing” on the ASX in mid-October, so long as you consider launching CDIs on the ASX as a listing.

Should Glencore need an introduction, the company is a global mining behemoth with operations all over the globe.

Glencore announced the secondary ASX listing in its 2026 half yearly released in early August, pointing to an enhancement of trading liquidity – a statement that could seem odd to cynics not loving the current slump – and to ‘broaden its investor base.’

The London-listed company recently boosted its earnings before tax expectations to US$5.B, a slight upward revision from US$4.9B, only some days ago – assuming one puts faith in EBIT.

Glencore CDIs will be priced 1:1 with their price on the LSE; currently, those shares are around £5.61, converted into AUD that puts shares around A$10ea. Compare that to BHP, and you can see why some are raising eyebrows.

16 October: Overwatch Technologies

A defence intelligence company, Overwatch Tech is raising $8M on 40M shares and listing at 20cps.

According to its prospectus, Overwatch intends to produce and sell automated drones that monitor maritime environments to find drug traffickers, illegal fishers, dark fleets and more.

The company’s prospectus notes A$1.9M in existing sales from clients in Southeast Asia; the company also references “quasi-government” clients, which this finance journalist can only guess means they’ve been doing business in Myanmar.

But given that we are girt by sea, the company may land on radars if it’s able to establish itself within the Australian defence supply chain. The company is also trying to start a new neologism in its prospectus, offering “Maritime-Surveillance-as-a-Service” (or MSaaS.)

22 October: Jacaranda Natural Resources

A good old Australian-and-African-based mining smallcap, Jacaranda is raising $10M through 40M shares for 20cps at listing with an enterprise value of A$4.5M.

Exploring for copper and gold, Jacaranda is the 100% owner of its White Cockatoo Project (WCP) in QLD as well as having three other projects, all in Botswana.

At WCP, the company boasts rock-chips at 30.2% copper and 13.4g/t equivalent.

The most advanced Botswanan project appears to be the Globe Gold project which straddles greenstone geology and has presented rock chips at 26.5g/t gold.
