An intercept of three metres at 46.70g/t of gold from 139m, including one metre at 79.50g/t from 140m was picked up during the program, eclipsing the previous highest intercept of 29 metres at 4.79g/t of gold from 76m in another hole at Eaglehawk.

RC drilling across both this target and another, Mulga Bill, has produced several other strong results, including two metres at 11.15g/t Au from 166m; and nine metres at 1.99g/t Au from 223m, including two metres at 7.42g/t Au from 224m at Mulga Bill; and two metres at 5.40g/t Au from 137m at Eaglehawk.

Great Boulder is continuing its exploration of the Eaglehawk target, with aircore drilling being progressed there; the company is also awaiting assay results from the final four RC holes completed across the Side Well project.

Managing director Andrew Paterson said the result was an exceptional one for Eaglehawk, declaring: “We’re seeing the results of our improved exploration targeting focused on these very high-grade veins along the and within the dacite contact and this is the highest-grade drilling intersection we’ve seen to date.”
