Haranga Resources (ASX:HAR) has confirmed both the continuity and intensity of gold grades across several now-established drill holes at its Ibel South project in southeastern Senegal with “spectacular” high-grade results.

This week’s single-metre assay results were paired with several previously reported composite samples to “confirm and enhance” the project’s future.

This week’s top assay results included 20 metres at six grams per tonne gold from 12 metres, including 4m at 141.g/t gold in hole 25-IBS-AC-008, and 12m at 6.12g/t gold from 42m, including 7m at 10.05g/t gold in 25-IBS-AC-016.

“Mineralisation remains open in all directions,” Haranga’s managing director, Peter Batten, pointed out, before speaking on drill plans: “We’re very excited for next quarter as we prepare to undertake this drilling program.”

There have been several delays, HotCopper understands, thanks to “an inability to access target areas” through Senegal’s wet season, but that’s nearly wrapped up.

With the rainy season closing out through October, the explorer expects its expanded 3,000-metre program to get started quite soon. Once the rigs fire, Haranga will be testing known mineralisation in the area.

One top priority on that front is a grouping of “high priority” termite mounds sampling anomalies Haranga has been champing at the bit to test.

The company’s especially keen to compare that area with earlier composite data; the explorer’s chiefs believe these will “underscore the project’s potential” and lead to more high-grade shoots along strike and at depth.

(Local approvals are still needed, but Mr Batten says they’re on their way.)

HAR has been selling at 13cps recently; the stock’s up +251% YTD.
