Inca Minerals (ICG) has received a proposal for a drilling program from its independent consultants.
The program will comprise 29 holes, for around 28,200 metres, and will cover Inca’s Frewena group project in the Northern Territory.
Over the past few months, Inca has been conducting detailed gravity surveys over regional targets at Frewena, which were generated from airborne magnetic and radiometric (AMAGRAD) data and other government data.
The independent consultancy modelled this data and has generated a drilling program to focus on nine regional-scale targets across the Frewena Far East, Frewena East and Frewena Fable projects.
At Frewena Far East, 11 holes will be drilled at the Mount Lamb prospect, one hole each will be drilled at the Desert Creek and Plains prospects, and the remaining eight holes will target the SW prospect.
At Frewena East, five holes will target the Jumping Spider prospect and one hole at the Roadhouse prospect.
Lastly, two holes will be drilled at the Alpaca prospect within the Frewena Fable project.
Overall, drilling will test tier-one scale iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) and sedimentary exhalative (SEDEX) mineralisation.
Inca intends to begin drilling at Mount Lamb before the end of the year and a drilling contractor has already been contacted and engaged.
Company shares were up 8.33 per cent to trade at 13 cents at 3:02 pm AEDT.
