MetalsTech (MTC) has updated the gold grade from hole UGA-18 at its Sturec Gold Mine in Slovakia.
The Sturec Mine lies 17 kilometres west of Branska Bystrica in Central Slovakia and has a JORC 2012 resource of21.2 million tonnes at 1.5 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) and 11.6g/t silver.
On October 4, MetalsTech announced it had struck bonanza gold grades at Sturec with a best result of one metre at 594g/t gold and 100g/t silver from 81 metres.
The company today announced the grade had improved to one metre at 646g/t gold and 459g/t silver from 81 metres.
Using these new results, hole UGA-18 intersected a thick, continuous mineralised zone of 38 metres at 17.72g/t gold and 17.6g/t silver from 44 metres.
These results show a relatively continuous mineralised zone from 44 metres to 82 metres.
This work falls under MetalsTech’s phase II drilling program that was designed to increase the confidence in the mineralised zone on the margin and outside the existing mineral resource.
MetalsTech is now in the process of finalising a report on metallurgical testwork which it plans to announce in the upcoming weeks.
Shares in MetalsTech were down 5.51 per cent on the market and are trading at 60 cents at 2:28 pm AEDT.
