MyState Limited (MYS) has appointed Brett Morgan to the roles of managing director and chief executive officer, effective from January, 2022.
The incoming executive will succeed Melos Sulicich and was selected via an extensive search process that assessed bank leaders across Australia and New Zealand.
Based in Sydney, Mr Morgan is currently the CEO of banking and wholesale at ASX-listed BNK Banking Corporation (BBC).
Notably, he has extensive digital banking experience and has held multiple executive roles at organisations such as ING DIRECT, Australia’s first digital bank, where he worked for 15 years.
Mr Morgan has also worked abroad as country head of branch banking, marketing and private clients at ING Vysya Bank in India, where he was responsible for 7500 staff.
He will officially join MYS on an ongoing contract next year, with an annual fixed remuneration, including superannuation, of $625,000.
