RareX (REE) has received encouraging results from its recently completed reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Cummins Range Rare Earths Project.

The Cummins Range Project lies in the Kimberly Region of Western Australia, near the township of Halls Creek.

Around 1500 metres of RC drilling was undertaken to test the geological interpretation of the project and test areas for new mineralised trends.

Drilling was successful in highlighting exceptional scope to grow the Cummins Range mineral resource.

Drilling on the northwestern zone of the Main Fault exceeded expectations and intersected wide zones of high-grade rare earths.

The best result was 41 metres at 2.4 per cent total rare earth oxides (TREO) and 0.51 per cent niobium pentoxide from 57 metres, including 10 metres at 4.1 per cent TREO and 0.75 per cent niobium pentoxide.

A secondary zone below this also returned a result of 28 metres at 0.8 per cent TREO and 0.24 per cent niobium pentoxide.

A follow-up diamond hole is currently being planned to test for mineralisation down-dip of this intercept.

This diamond drilling will help RareX’s geological team better understand the geological controls on the Main Fault Zone.

Additionally, the results have confirmed the discovery of a second parallel mineralised structure called the Northern Fault.

Further drilling will be undertaken to test for extensions along strike and at depth.

RareX was up 4.76 per cent on the market with shares trading at 11 cents at 11:53 am AEST.
