Rumble Resources (RTR) has intersected significant new mineralisation from the Chinook zinc-lead discovery in Western Australia.

The Chinook discovery is part of the Earaheedy Project which lies roughly 110 kilometres north of Wiluna.

Around 40,000 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling is being undertaken at Chinook to define the limits of the zinc-lead-silver-manganese mineralisations.

Results have been received for a further 51 RC holes, for 7826 metres, and two sonic drill holes drilled as part of the ongoing scoping study of Chinook.

Best results include eight metres at 5.2 per cent zinc and lead, and 9.57 grams of silver per tonne (g/t) from 133 metres and 21 metres at 16g/t silver from 88 metres.

Best results from the sonic drilling include 19 metres at 6.1 per cent zinc and lead, and 8.52g/t silver from 66 metres.

Managing Director Shane Sikora commented on the drilling program.

“The broad space scoping drilling continues to deliver at the Chinook Zinc-Lead Prospect with an impressive 44 per cent mineralisation envelope increase to 4.1 kilometres by 1.9 kilometres,” Mr Sikora said.

“Another exciting development at the Chinook Prospect is that significant zinc-lead mineralisation has been intercepted in numerous drill holes along the north-west corner, and within 50 metres of the main tenement boundary which abuts Rumble’s pending application ELA60/3787.”

Nearly 35,000 metres of the planned 40,000 metres of RC drilling has been completed, however, results have only been received for 9000 metres due to industry-wide laboratory turnaround issues.

Results will be reported on once they have been received.

Additionally, drill scoping is continuing at the Magazine and Navajoh zinc-lead prospects that lie between seven to 12 kilometres southeast of Chinook.

Shares in Rumble were down 7.96 per cent and were trading at 52 cents at 11:49 am AEDT.
