SRG Global has signed a $44 million contract for the design, supply and installation of a wall facade for Parramatta Square project in NSW.

The Parramatta Square project is a $3.2 billion redevelopment and is one of the largest urban renewal projects in Australia. It will include 290,000 square metres of premium office and retail space.

SRG facades division has been contracted by the Built Obayashi Joint Venture to design, supply and install an engineered curtain wall facade on two towers located 6 and 8 Parramatta Square.

Managing Director David Macgeorge says it is a significant milestone for the company.

“This is the largest contract our facades division has secured to date and demonstrates our position as a leader in the Australian facades market,” he said.

SRG Global is an engineering-led specialist construction, maintenance and mining services group. It operates three segments of construction, asset services and mining services.

Parramatta Square will be located in the CBD of Parramatta and is 24 kilometres west of Sydney CBD.

According to the Parramatta square website, 6 & 8 Parramatta square will provide the final piece of the city-making project.

The building on 6, will offer a highly engaged floor plate of 2,800 to 3,100 square metres, with many atrium configurations allowing for a diverse and functional workplace.

The building on 8, will be a modern day tower that will provide views from eastern CBD and the Blue Mountains.

“We have a long working history with Built and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Built in delivering this project,” David added.

The construction of the towers is expected to commence in mid 2020 and run for approximately 18 months.
