  • New drill targets identified at Bimba and Myall
  • Both have significant gold anomalism with broad zones of mineralisation
  • Gold anomalisms strike over at least 500m
  • Planning to undertake a discovery focussed aircore drill

Auravelle Metals (ASX: AUV) is preparing for multiple drill campaigns after defining a range of new targets at the Nuckulla Hill gold project in South Australia.

The new Bimba and Myall prospects have been defined from historical drilling to contain significant gold anomalisms with broad zones of mineralisation.

Better previous results include 24m at 1.1 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 122m, including 1.0m at 4.2g/t from 127m at Bimba and 1.0m at 2.2 g/t from 57m at Myall.

These targets, together with Sheoak and Sheoak East prospects, are heritage cleared and ready for drilling.

Sheoak, Sheoak East, Bimba and Myall are all prospects within the highly prospective Yarlbrinda Shear Zone, which hosts Barton Gold’s (ASX: BGD) neighbouring 1.6 million ounce Tunkillia gold project.

MD Andrew Muir said the company will follow the RC program with a large discovery focussed aircore drill program to test multiple earlier stage targets within the 40km strike of the Yarlbrinda Shear Zone within Nuckulla Hill.

“The more work we do on the Nuckulla Hill project, the more targets we identify. Our newly integrated quality datasets, including the historical drilling, calcrete and soil sampling, plus our recent detailed magnetics survey have enabled us to generate a large number of compelling new targets requiring testing,” he said.

“Our pending RC program will test a number of these targets, including Sheoak, Sheoak East and Bimba. All of these have sizeable gold anomalies in drilling, and are associated with key structures, large geochemistry anomalies, and remain open along strike and at depth.

“Beyond the pending RC program, we look forward to undertaking a large-scale regional discovery focussed aircore program, testing multiple earlier stage targets including Bimba West, Myall and Sheoak North, all identified from the recent detailed magnetic study, structural targeting review and soil sampling.”

The Nuckulla Hill gold project is located in South Australia’s rich Gawler Craton and centred around the crustal-scale Yarlbrinda shear zone. The project has seen minimal active exploration since the 1990’s.

AUV is steady at 1.5¢. Mkt cap $7.968M.
