Talisman Mining (ASX: TLM) is conducting two significant drilling campaigns in its highly-prospective land holdings in NSW.

The Watchlist — short video interviews with ASX leaders. Watch now.

The company has kicked-off a 2,500m AC drilling program at the East Peak Hill gold prospect, part of its Macquarie project and preparations are also underway to commence reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Sheepyard gold prospect, within the Lachlan Fold project portfolio.

MD, Todd Ross, said the program at Sheepyard will test a deeper IP anomaly generated previously by Talisman. An RC rig has been secured, while the AC program will further evaluate a five km long gold mineralised corridor that has been identified at East Peak Hill.

“We are pleased to be back on the ground at East Peak Hill following weather-related delays that restricted access to parts of the project area for an extended period,” Mr Ross said.

“With conditions now improved, we can progress systematic testing of this high value target along the approximately five km gold mineralised corridor, a contact that hosts major deposits in the district. First results are expected in early December.”

The current AC program will comprise up to five drill lines to test two key target areas.

The EPH1 target was defined by previous AC programs completed by Talisman. Drilling across the prospective contact intersected strongly anomalous gold values in a position that is interpreted as an area of structural complexity (jog structure).

The follow-up drill testing will step out to the north and south to test for extensions of the gold mineralisation.

At the EPH2 target three drill traverses have been planned to complete systematic testing of the targeted gold corridor. Previous attempts to drill this area were impeded by significant rain events.

TLM was steady at 6.0¢ with a Mkt cap of $11.29M prior to markets opening.
