  • Assays received for 24 of 34 holes
  • Eight further holes at Dulcie Central have intersected gold
  • Final results expected in late October
  • Results to inform an assessment of maiden mineral resource estimate

Zenith Minerals (ASX: ZNC) has received further promising assay results from the recently completed RC drilling program at the consolidated Dulcie gold project in Western Australia.

The Watchlist — short video interviews with ASX leaders. Watch now.

The program was completed in mid-September, with 34 RC holes drilled for a total of 4,601m.

The company has now received results for a further 15 holes from Dulcie Central, Scott’s Grey and Dulcie South, with assays pending for a remaining 10 holes at Dulcie Central.

“Every Dulcie Central hole assayed so far has intersected gold, with SRRC182 returning the strongest intersection of the program to date,” MD, Andrew Smith, said.

“These results continue to support the interpretation that gold mineralisation extends across the approximately 600 m gap between Dulcie North and Dulcie.

“At Scott’s Grey, holes SRRC200 and SRRC201 both returned intercepts above 2.0 grams per tonne (g/t) Au, which will be assessed as part of the review of the Dulcie mineral resource.”

Holes SRRC182 to SRRC189 were drilled along the Dulcie Central corridor, testing further sections of the approximately 600m strike gap between the Dulcie North and Dulcie deposits.

All eight holes intersected gold, with multiple mineralised zones returned in each hole. The best result was from SRRC182, which returned 6.0m at 4.14 g/t from 123m, including 3.0m at 7.75 g/t from 125m.

Hole SRRC184 returned 10m at 0.84 g/t from 48 m, and SRRC186 returned 3.0m at 1.59 g/t from 45m and 2.0m at 1.24 g/t from 56 m. SRRC189 returned 2.0m at 1.57 g/t from 97m and 3.0m @ 1.14 g/t from 134 m.

Mr Smith said with all 14 Dulcie Central holes assayed to date returning gold intercepts, the results provide further evidence of gold mineralisation extending through the corridor between the Dulcie North and Dulcie deposits.

Two holes were drilled at Scott’s Grey to test high-grade extensions to the Inferred mineral resource down dip and along strike, returning 4.0m at 3.05 g/t from 71 m, including 1.0m at 4.33 g/t from 71m, 1.0m at 7.17 g/t from 74m and separately 2.0m at 2.40 g/t from 142 m, including 1.0m at 4.43 g/t from 142m.

ZNC was steady at 7.7¢ with a Mkt cap of $49.28M.
