PNN: Strategic investment from critical minerals heavyweight
Power Minerals (ASX: PNN) attracted attention on news Critical Metals Corp (CRML), via its subsidiary European Lithium (ASX: EUR), has agreed to make a strategic at-market $5 million equity investment in the company.
CRML is the 100%-owner of the multi-billion tonne Tanbreez rare earth deposit in Greenland and holds the Wolfsberg lithium project in Austria, Europe’s first fully permitted hard-rock lithium mine.
It has also been shortlisted in the Kenyan Government tender for the globally significant Mrima Hill rare earth and niobium project in Kenya.
“Critical Metals Corp is ambitious in our goal to build a globally significant critical minerals company to support a clean energy transition, as is evidenced by the quality of our current asset portfolio. We aim to be a secure future source of high-quality critical minerals into global supply chains and are continually seeking opportunities to grow our capacity,” EUR-CRML executive chairman, Tony Sage, said.

“Our investment in Marine Biomedical was made with a clear strategic objective: to secure exposure to an innovative bone regeneration technology with the potential to complement Orthocell’s established nerve and tendon repair portfolio.”
OCC was up 0.44% to 57.3c.
VKA: Five-pronged strategy advances Linka tungsten project towards production restart
Viking Mines (ASX: VKA) has unveiled a rapid-start strategy at the Linka tungsten project in Nevada, advancing on five parallel workstreams.
The strategy draws together the Resource Evaluation, Metallurgy, Processing, Permitting and Growth Potential advancement reported since May 2026 and setting out how each is tracking towards a restart of tungsten production at Linka.
“Every workstream at Linka is advancing towards our strategic goal,” MD and CEO, Julian Woodcock, said.
“The drilling at Linka (Main) is confirming the grades and widths mined in the 1950’s miners above and below the workings and exactly where our geological model predicted they would be.”
“The metallurgy is conventional, and the ore sorting testwork delivers a product up to four times the feed grade.”
“Our conceptual processing study has demonstrated a small, low-capex plant appears an attractive scenario and warrants further evaluation, whilst potential third-party processing arrangements are also being evaluated as an alternate option.”
VKA jumped 5.56% to 1.0¢.
